Block any website Site Using Url filter from your router

With most families now owning multiple computers, home networks are becoming a necessity. Your home router gives multiple computers the ability to share a connection to the internet, share files between computers, and share printers. Another feature that your home router provides is the ability to block specific websites, or particular key words, from individual computers on the home network. Blocking websites using your home router is a good way to control the access that household members have on the internet, especially where young children are concerned.

Every router enabled with filter setups. Here is  the procedure to block any website using d link router.

Step 1Type "192.168.0.1" without the quotes into the address bar of your Web browser, then press "Enter." This number is the default IP address for the D-Link DIR-655 router, and should resolve to the router's administration utility.
Step 2Enter "admin" as the username, leave the password field blank and click "Log In."
Step 3Click the "Advanced" tab at the top of the screen, then click "Website Filter" in the left pane.
Step 4Change the "Configure Website Filter" setting to "Deny Computers Access to Only These Settings."
Step 5Enter the domain name of the website you want to block into one of the blank fields. To block the entire YouTube website, for example, type "youtube.com" into the field.
Step 6Click "Save Changes" when you're done. Your Web filter is now defined, but you must still enable access control and create a policy to apply the filter to users.
Step 7Click "Access Control" in the left pane, click the "Add Policy" button and click "Next" to begin the Access Control wizard.
Step 8Enter a name for the policy you are creating -- something easy to remember like "Website Blocker" -- and click "Next."
Step 9Select a schedule for the blocking. Leave the setting on "Always" to block the website at all times. To create a blocking schedule, select "Define a New Schedule" and then use the Add Schedule Rule dialog box to create and save the schedule. Click "Next" to continue the wizard.
Step 10Select the computers or other devices on your local network to which the blocking will apply. First click the button next to "MAC," then select a computer you want to block from the "Computer Name" drop-down list and click "OK." Click "Next" after you select all the computers you want to block.
Step 11Select "Block Some Access" and check the box next to "Apply Web Filter" to block the domain name you entered earlier. Alternatively, you can check the box next to "Apply Advanced Port Filters" and then enter the IP addresses of the domain name on the next screen, which prevents users from accessing a website by entering the IP address instead of a URL. Click "Next."
Step 12Select whether or not you want to keep a Web access log, then click "Next" to finish the wizard. The new policy is listed at the bottom of the Access Control screen.
Step 13Check the box next to "Enable Access Control," then click "Save Changes" to implement the new policy and block the website. If you wish to block more websites, you can add them to the list on the Website Filter screen without having to create another policy.
